Curried Beef Pizza

We decided to try something a little different today - a little taste of India on our pizza. I spent a lot of time on Ye Olde Internets today researching various ways of accomplishing this feat. I didn't want to just do an OK job on it, I wanted it to be something special!

I found this recipe for Curried Beef Pizza from Me'n'Ed's which started my inspiration. And then I found Minku's Curry Pizza Crust. I decided to combine the two and came up with my own concoction!

First, Alan made pizza dough, with a twist :

Regular pizza dough recipe, plus a teaspoon each of :
- garam masala
- ground coriander
- cumin seeds
- crushed red pepper flakes

And a half teaspoon of :
- turmeric

Topped with curry-yogurt sauce (plain yogurt mixed with green curry paste)

And then :

spicy potato slices
red peppers
green peppers
mushrooms
leeks

ground beef (with just a bit of cinnamon and paprika)
asiago & mozza

Finished product :

The dough was particularly delicious - not enough spice in the beef I think. And I'd do a different sauce. Still, a successful venture in to curry pizza :-)
